205 Remote Head
The Egripment 205 Remote Head is our little giant in the extensive line of egripment remote camera heads. following in the footsteps of our very successful and well regarded line of remote camera heads, Egripment now announces the development of a much smaller and lighter remote head designed for use with many of the current smaller professional cameras and lenses.
The 205 Remote Head offers the same exacting precision and smoothness of motion as our larger 306 head does, in a much smaller package. with the reduction in camera sizes, it is not always necessary or desirable to use our larger heads, so we now offer the 205 head to fill this need in our line up.
Note that this head can be mounted right side up or inverted and furthermore you can mount the camera platform on the outside of the head rather than inside as is customary, if desired for special applications. with its extensive line of mounting options, such as standard 28mm lightning spigot to fix to a standard clamp, mitchell or 100mm bowl fitting for adapting it to standard tripod, the 205 head is an economical head for many different purposes.
The 205 remote head is replacing our mini shot and super shot heads in the egripment product line. It is fully compatible with all of the other products within our line of Remote Systems. this analogue version of the 205 head is being utilized as a stand alone remote head. The compact size of the 205 remote head, combined with its power, flexibility and sophistication, makes it the perfect remote head for all-sporting events, commentary camera positions, music concerts, and videoconferences.
Digilite is a network enabled line of products of Egripment.
The aim of these products is to be versatile in any existing network environment while also being easy to use in a stand-alone environment.
Basic overview of DigiLite system
The minimum setup of a DigiLite system consists of a control system (e.g. single control panel, multi control panel), and a remote system (e.g. remote head, dolly, etc.)
The two devices are connected via an ethernet cable. By default Egripment delivers all Digilite systems with a fixed unique IP address. So if all devices are connected on there own private network, no further configuration is needed. They will work out of the box!
Before a control system can control a remote system, the two devices need to be paired to each other. This is done with the pair button on the devices or via the multi controller GUI. After pairing the devices together, the remote system can be controlled by the control system.
More complex systems can by achieved by using a multi controller. Multiple remote systems can be controlled from one multi controller. There can, however, only be one multi controller per network. This in contrast to multiple single controllers in one network, which is allowed.
When using an existing network to connect a Digilite system together, care must be taken before connecting to avoid IP conflicts. Be sure every device has a unique IP address, or DHCP is enabled. See the chapter: Changing the IP address of a Digilite system for more information. Egripment can help by preconfiguring devices before delivery of the systems.
